Thea
About Me.
My name is Thea Gou. I grew up in China and completed my undergraduate degree in Costume Design for Stage at the Central Academy of Drama. During those four years, I honed my drawing skills and gained a solid understanding of Chinese spoken drama and traditional theatre forms.
I later earned my MA in Costume Design for Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in the UK, where I developed extensive hands-on experience and became well-versed in costume making and the full production process.
My passion began with drawing and evolved into a deep love for theatre design after watching live performances. I specialise in fast, precise sketching and effective visual communication of design ideas.
I believe costume is a vital rhythm in stage storytelling, and I am committed to breathing life into characters and narratives through visual language.
