Set in a post-hurricane district of New Orleans, this reimagined version of Mahagonny takes place in a crumbling amusement park built atop a swamp.

Inspired by the city’s deep jazz heritage—where the music was born and continues to echo—the story explores pleasure, collapse, and the cost of survival.
The design blends faded carnival textures with Southern decadence, drawing from the chaos of nature and the resilience of people rebuilding.
Costumes reflect the clash between spectacle and decay, between indulgence and desperation.
