Merrily We Roll Along 

Told in reverse, this musical traces a group of friends from fractured futures back to their youthful hopes.
With four sets of actors portraying the same characters, my design focused on helping the audience distinguish between each version of a role with clarity and coherence.

Each actor group was assigned a distinct colour palette, grounded in the fashion trends of the period. While the base colours remained consistent, I adjusted the saturation to reflect the characters' psychological and emotional states across time—deeper, more muted tones for later years, and brighter, more vivid hues for their younger selves.

This approach to colour became a central visual tool to express identity, emotional progression, and the reverse flow of time.
